Maria Casademunt and Andreu Bartolomé are the second generation of the family that has been running Siurana Restaurant for some sixty years. She learned to cook with her uncles, the previous owners, and began the generational changeover when they retired fifteen years ago. Andreu, a farmer and rancher by trade, is responsible for the produce, providing the kitchen with home-reared lamb and goat, wine from their vineyards, and organic sausages and cold meats. In the dining room, you’ll find family style service and rustic cuisine made from traditional recipes of the village. All this is slow-cooked with love and in tune with nature. On the menu, the hearty sopa de sobras (soup made from leftover ingredients) and the grilled lamb or goat are worth a try.
