The Rom family has a long history in the coastal city of Roses. The grandmother was a waitress, and the grandfather was a local fisher-man, who decided to open Hostal Rom together many years ago. The third generation, formed by four brothers, used what they learned in the family business to open their own restaurant. They add a modern touch to Catalan cuisine, with the aim of attracting a new type of customer through a more innovative menu. There is no other restaurant so laid back on the entire seaside promenade, not least with such a tempting menu, tasty traditional cuisine, and quality produce. In the lower section, there’s a more relaxed tavern with a nice terrace, while upstairs hosts a dining room with sea views. Both spaces demonstrate the extraordinary culinary skills of the Rom brothers.
