Marc Serret and Maria Cinta Ruiz form the couple in charge of this gastronomic project, which opened nine years ago in a former ice cream parlour. Marc comes from a family with a long cooking and fishing tradition, which helps him source the best fresh fish directly from the sea. He draws on his family’s background and experience to manage this culinary venture along with his wife who takes care of the dining room. Meanwhile, Marc’s team of professionals are always at the ready, whipping up tasty meals for their customers to enjoy. At Xibec, you can sample a variety of rice and seafood dishes. The star of the show, however, is the seafood platter, which surprises new customers for its size, quality, and the highly affordable price. Interestingly, the name Xibec comes from a red-headed duck which is common to the Delta del Ebre.
