Josep and Maria Teresa are a couple who have spent their entire lives as cooks working in numerous different restaurants. With La Font, they’ve managed to finally fulfil their dream: Josep behind the stoves preparing the home-style cooking he learned from his mother that respects traditional recipes and methods, and Maria Teresa in the dining room to serve their customers as if they were eating at home. The restaurant’s success has been due to the fact it has stayed true to traditional Catalan cuisine: stewed pork cheeks, grandma’s cannelloni, and a bowl of good rice soup. Their daughters, Mercè and Anna, have continued the family saga a er joining the business. As a result, their loyal clientele is delighted because the restaurant is set to keep on serving, at least for the time being.
