With ample hospitality experience already under their belt, the Ulica family began running the Mora la Nova restaurant five years ago. Romanians of origin but now fully-integrated Catalonians, Ioan and Dana, along with their son Robert and their daughter-in-law Bea, serve a menu with a modern twist where locally sourced produce is the star of the show. Dana and Bea take care of the kitchen, while Ioan and Robert, who moonlights as an oenologist, are responsible for the room. Some of their best dishes include Iberian sliced carpaccio with pistachio and aged cheese vinaigrette, fried eggs sunny side up with salmon carpaccio, and codfish “a la llauna”.
