Not far from Falset is Mas Trucafort, which is run by the Felip Soler family. Chef Rodger and his partner, Nina, came to Priorat in 2000 from Barcelona. After honing their skills in another restaurant, the couple decided to renovate this traditional Catalan farmhouse in 2003 to make their dream project into a reality. The pair offers a menu chock full of Catalan cuisine from the surrounding region, including a few distinguished dishes such as chargrilled lamb. The restaurant only serves locally sourced produce such as the aforementioned lamb and vegetables, which they grow on their own eco-friendly farm. Among their star dishes are the wood-fired rice casserole and the slow-cooked wood-fired roast lamb shoulder.
