Aged just 18, Isidre set up his first restaurant with help from his family. He ran it for a few years until he came across a magnificent 1851 house, which he restored with his wife Roser and opened a restaurant. At first, it was Roser who worked the kitchen. These days, however, Victor is the new chef, who is the husband of their daughter, Neus. The four devote their body and soul to the project, which is deeply rooted in Arbúcies traditions. The cuisine draws upon a variety of locally sourced seasonal produce, either plucked fresh from the garden or hunted or fished from the wild. Les Magnòlies’ cuisine starts with a traditional base, but introduces more modern and innovative touches thanks to the young team who run the kitchen.
