Restaurant L’Alguer boasts incredible views thanks to its elevated location
above the seafront. Since 1980, Ricardo Gonzalvo has been
running the kitchen while his partner, Rosa Teson, has been taking
care of the dining hall. Its cuisine is entirely based on Mediterranean
seafood recipes, which their regular customers have been coming
back for year after year. All the produce they use is locally sourced.
The fish comes from either the l’Ametlla de Mar or Sant Carles de
la Ràpita markets, the oil from nearby cooperatives, and the wine is
appellation of origin of the Baix Ebre region. Among their best dishes
are the fish and seafood appetisers or the lobster with rice.
