Emilia always used to play “restaurants” and prepare meals for her
brothers when she was a child, so it came as a surprise to no one when
she went on to study hospitality with Joan Ferran in Girona. In 2004,
she decided to open her own restaurant where her brothers and one
of the eldest daughters would collaborate from time to time. Emilia is
the heart and soul of La Santa – a fun and cheerful hostess who makes
all her guests feel right at home. Her fresh regional Mediterranean
cuisine is based on rice, fish, and tartar. From the terrace of the restaurant,
you can see the boats pass by and the day-to-day movement
of the port of Masnou. It’s a privileged place to enjoy an excellent local
meal with a maritime heritage and a touch of innovation.
