In the heart of the old Sitges neighborhood lies La Nansa, it takes its name from the art of fishing that fishermen use to catch cuttlefish and lobsters. The name evokes the true essence of La Nansa: fresh seafood cuisine made from timeless recipes. The owner’s grandparents left the Rafecas Tavern in Piera in search of a more tourist friendly place to work, which they found in Sitges. Their children
–
Toni and Rosa Maria – opened it in 1963 and three of their children joined the business over time: Anton, Mireia, and Francesc. A fourth child, Mercè, brews craft beer in Sitges which you can sample at the restaurant. The team is passionate about using locally sourced produce in their age-old recipes. You could describe the cuisine as traditional, albeit with a little innovation here and there.
