The Masia del Cabrit is a traditional farmhouse that has now been
surrounded by industrial buildings, as is often the case. When you
enter, however, you’ll forget all about it as you admire its grand stone
brick walls, antique furniture, and farm machinery. Grandparents
Florenci and Pilar started the family’s gastronomic tradition, opening
a small restaurant in the Llémena valley in the 60s with just one table
and six chairs. In 2005, the grandson, Jaume, and his wife, Iolanda,
decided to continue the family lineage and opened this small restaurant
with the help of their sister-in-law, Victòria. Together, they cook
traditional Catalan cuisine and chargrilled meat, following the recipes
of the grandmother. Nowadays, they no longer have a garden, but they
still source produce from local farmers and make their own sausages.
