ntoni Botargues and his wife, Tresa Florensa, founded this typical Lleida restaurant in 1966. It’s currently run by the third generation of the same family, namely Gerard in management and the kitchen, Antonio as the dining room director, and Mariona in management and administration. At first, La Huerta was located in front of the fruit and cattle market and primarily gave cafeteria service to vendors and customers. These days, La Huerta is an exceptional restaurant that offers traditional dishes such as roast vegetable escalivada, Lérida snails “a la llauna” and chargrilled lamb, all of which are made from local ingredients. The main dining hall is decorated with a complete poster collection of all the Aplec del Caragol de Lérida editions since 1980.
