For twenty-three years, the Torreguitart family has been running this restaurant in Montardit de Baix in the heart of the Pallars Sobirà region. Josep Maria is in charge of the kitchen, while Dolors does the service. In a cosy dining room with a large fireplace that takes centre stage, the duo serves a market-fresh menu rich in local Pyrenees produce, which characterise all four seasons. The foundation of their kitchen is the chargrill which cooks up a careful selection of meat that’s always accompanied by fresh bread with tomato seasoning. We’ll also find stews, among which are the traditional Catalan escudella and the pork trotters with tripe. Of course, you’ll want to try their renowned locally sourced deli meat and cheese, which feature strongly throughout the menu.
