This small Palafolls oasis lies on the main highway heading past town. During the 50s, the owner’s grandparents bought these lands to build a house and a small bar which they expanded, eventually adding rooms for travellers to sleep in. At this time, grandmother Ginesa, who remained active at Solfina until the end, had to take her horse out for a walk every night so as not to disturb the customers sleep. The current generation in charge of the establishment decided to modernise it by renovating the large terrace and pool as well as adding a chill-out bar for guests to relax after their meal. However, the Solfina is now best known for its small hotel, its hearty buffet breakfasts and its restaurant with traditional cuisine. Every morning, the owners go looking for fresh locally sourced fish and other produce for the day.
