Eighty-three years ago, the owner’s great-grandparents Josep and Teresina started what is now the Hotel-Restaurant Robert. Later, the grandparents Esteve and Pepita took the reins, followed by the parents Josep Maria and Maria Rosa. These days, Esteve Robert and his wife Blanca make up the fourth generation to take charge of this family business, which is unique to the entire Anoia region. The duo tells us that the hotel served as a general headquarters during the civil war, a fact which the family could do nothing about. One thing is for sure though, which is that its location off the old national highway turned it into an obligatory rest stop bus and truck drivers. The years have gone by that way, and today’s customers still keep coming back for their traditional and delicious cuisine.
