Hotel-Restaurant Les Brases lies in the heart of the Pallars Sobirà region
and has been run by Miquel and Nuria Escrivà Segués since
1992. Nowadays, the second generation, David and Roger Escrivà,
have finished studying the culinary arts in Lleida; thus the future of
the family lineage is all but guaranteed. Although their menu is extensive,
the main focus – as the name suggests – is the grilled meat
(brases means embers). Nevertheless, their delicious fish dishes and
salads made from local produce deserve a look. The highlight of the
traditional menu are the snails “a la llauna”, the oven baked lamb or
the Pallars deli meats and cheeses. Don’t miss the delicious dessert
menu, which has become a benchmark in the region.
