Overlooking the sea and just off the national highway lies Fonda Marina,
which was named by the former owner of this hundred-year-old establishment.
It was once your classic village inn, where people from all
over the area would go to enjoy good food, and passing travellers would
stop to rest on their journey. The business closed for a few years until
the married couple who now run the show, Patricia and Dario, decided
to reopen it as a restaurant in 1992. The duo started with simple cuisine
such as sausages, fondues, and grilled meats before gradually expanding
the menu to feature a wide variety of traditional Catalan dishes.
The business is now fully established and is widely known for serving
immaculately prepared seafood recipes, which they’ve subtly revised to
include ingredients and techniques from other cuisines.
