“The restaurant’s name comes from La Cerdanya’s ducks, an animal and dish that’s ubiquitous to the region. When Marta decided to take over El Tiro in 2013, she infused her knowledge from both the Girona Hospitality School and the kitchens of France and England where she’d previously worked.”

The restaurant’s name comes from La Cerdanya’s ducks, an animal and dish that’s ubiquitous to the region. When Marta decided to take over El Tiro in 2013, she infused her knowledge from both the Girona Hospitality School and the kitchens of France and England where she’d previously worked. Her mother, Montse, helps out in the restaurant while her father, Toni, takes care of the administration and the three of them couldn’t be happier with their family project. Most customers come during the ski season. However, tourism is increasingly becoming a year-round affair, as more travellers come to enjoy the stunning landscapes and numerous activities that La Cerdanya has to offer. The chef does a modernized take on traditional Catalan cuisine, with a revolving menu and a personal touch.
