Benito, the chef and owner of this family restaurant, has been working
behind the stoves for almost fifty years (he started at fourteen).
For twenty-three years, he was a chef at the Lloret Casino where he
shared a kitchen with numerous other chefs, both local and foreign,
and worked on all types of gastronomic events. It was there he realized
he loved cooking so much that he should open a restaurant with
his wife near Cala Fenals in Lloret. The two have been working here
together since 2001. Every morning, Benito wakes gets up at six to
personally select the day’s best produce, which he serves fresh at both
the set lunch and on the a la carte menu. The chef ’s daily recommendations
vary depending on what produce he finds in the morning.
