David from Can Ramonet and his daughter opened the El Nou
Ramonet in 2003 to complement the “mother” restaurant. Anna was
not entirely satisfied working in the family restaurant and wanted
to have her own space, so with the help of her father she managed
to forge her own identity in the Barceloneta restaurant scene. In
order to maintain the business, she knows she must offer the best
quality produce and outstanding service to her customers, two important
factors she learned from her parents and grandparents. Nou
Ramonet is a cosy seafood restaurant known for its cod and vegetable
rice dishes as well as its “bombas”. It has several distinct spaces: the
breakfast bar for an aperitif, the main restaurant for dinner, and the
private dining rooms for a more intimate affair.
