Not far from Valls, which is the birthplace of the authentic “calçotada”,
we find this traditional Catalan farmhouse that has been transformed
into a beautiful restaurant. It’s been run by Jordi Torrens Cervelló since
2005, who, together with his mother and his wife, Alina, has fused the
traditions of Catalan cuisine with the best seasonal products of the Alt
Camp region. Accompanied by a motivated and innovate team, the
self-taught Jordi whips up traditional cuisine with a distinct modern
flair. The chargrill based menu offers everything from Galician beef
T-bone steaks to Alt Camp lamb and hand sliced Iberian ham from
Valle de los Pedroches accompanied by “pa de vidre” bread. When the
season comes, “calçotades” are possible but must be booked in advance
due to their high demand.
