Casa Oms is a restaurant inside a 1686 colonial home once owned by
the Oms family of Barcelona. Their only descendant left it as an inheritance
to the nuns, who would later sell it to the Guerra family who
were in the restaurant business. After running a restaurant for twenty
years, Paquita and Fernando opened Casa Oms in 1999, a venture to
which they’ve dedicated their body and soul. The house maintains its
colonial décor, including furniture of the era and original ceramic tiles
and floors. Currently, the business is in the hands of Fernando’s children,
who went to the Hofmann School, as well as Núria, who studied
hospitality, and her husband who works as a sommelier as well as a
maître. It’s a special restaurant in a marvellous house run by an expert
team, some of whom have been there since the beginning.
