To reach one of the last Catalan villages before the border, you’ll have
to cross a small curvy asphalt road with stunning views. But it’ll all be
worth it in the end. Formerly, this business was a small inn which provided
lodging and a daily meal to the workers of the nearby mines. In
1992, Francesc and his wife Solangie turned it into a restaurant to offer
home-style cuisine made from locally sourced and seasonal produce.
Along with their two children, the couple has developed a restaurant
that treats their customers well and serves dishes from produce they’ve
grown themselves: home-style foie gras with home-made jams, cannelloni
with mushrooms, croquettes, meatballs, and plenty of meat and fish
varieties. Both the local and French customers tell us they come here often,
not only because the food is good but also because they feel at home.
