This restaurant resides in a beautiful 1908 modernist building in the centre of Ripoll, which once housed a pasta factory. The mother and daughter team of Dolors and Joselina began the business and their keen cooking skills have seen them earn a loyal clientele over the years. Dolors was taught well, her mother and grandmother were well-regarded cooks who prepared special feasts for the wealthy in their private homes. These days, the sister-in-law Antònia helps out, and between them, they’ve been able to run the business with considerable success. Their cuisine is based on traditional recipes from the countryside, seasonal and locally sourced from the land, albeit with the occasional modern touch. Although they’re famous for their rice and white beans with Perol sausage, all the dishes on their menu are equally good.
