This small restaurant is run by Montse and her husband Albert, who had worked in the kitchens of many renowned Catalonian restaurants until he came to Can Tastet. He worked as a chef here for seven years until one day the owners decided to sell it to him. Montse also came from the hospitality business as a professional sommelier, so they both took charge of the business together. Their menu consists of traditional Catalan dishes with an original touch: think deer and sweet potato stew, black spaghetti with pine nuts, squid with a sprinkling of almond aioli, and broiler chicken cannelloni with mushroom and seafood béchamel sauce. Some of their meats are organic, their eggs are always free range, and their seasonal “calçots” are also organic and cooked in various unique ways.
