Ramon and Ramona opened a small food house in Barceloneta
shortly after getting married about 60 years ago. The locale is set in a
beautiful 1753 building, which was one of the first to be built in the
now famous fisherman’s quarter. First, it was a winery and then a tavern
until it was finally established as a restaurant in 1956. These days,
the son, David, and his son-in-law, Jesus, continue to run the business
with the same values of their grandparents: quality home-style
cooking and friendly service for all. Here, you’ll find dishes made
from typical Catalonian produce such as the Palamós prawns, the
special seafood rice of the Delta del Ebro, and their delicious paellas.
The fish, on the other hand, is bought fresh every day depending on
what’s available at the fish market in the morning.
