The grandparents opened this place more than fifty years ago. Later, in
the 1970s, their son Antoni inherited it along with his wife, Isabel. The
couple reformed the menu and their customer base began to grow. As
he’d already worked in a few restaurants, Antoni was able to apply his
skills to the business quickly. Currently, grandson Josep Maria, who
studied at the Hospitality School in Girona, has taken over the business.
They’re now a part of the La Cuina del Vallès collective, a group of
local chefs who promote regional produce (“mongeta del ganxet” beans
and “cigró menut” peas, among other things). Can Feu’s cuisine is market
fresh, which is why Antoni still visits the local market every day to
handpick the best ingredients. Fresh fish, quality seafood, rice dishes,
and traditional yet innovative creations are the name of the game.
