In 2005, this restaurant opened its doors in a rural Belianes house
due west of the L’Urgell region. Run by the mother and daughter
Encarna and Rosa, the restaurant employs a small team of four staff
and is named after the house in which they work. With a rustic and
cosy atmosphere featuring warm colours and stone arched walls, Cal
Menut serves up traditional cuisine, as grandmothers do, but with
a distinct, innovative touch. The produce is sourced from the surrounding
region, while its wine has a 99% Costers de Segre appellation
of origin. Standout dishes include the foie micuit, the Lérida
snails “a la llauna” and the lamb’s shoulder.
