At the very beginning, the owner’s parents conceived La Banyeta with the idea of a small but amicable family-run restaurant. Although both their two children inherited it together, one of them went to work in a prestigious restaurant, so the other was left to manage a rather difficult business on his own. Rising up to the challenge, he decided to change the name and cook only custom orders. This way, he’d have enough time to handpick the best produce and prepare his dishes with utmost dedication to the craft. The restaurant caters for various events and only opens on request for bookings between six and ten diners. This is but another example of how a family business can branch out into other directions if it has a gastronomic proposal based on quality service and cuisine from locally sourced produce.
